Foundation for sustainable development, co-founded by Eric Scotto and Patrice Lucas in 2012, the Akuo Foundation, under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, is committed to providing access to renewable energy, education and knowledge, water and health, and the protection of the environment and biodiversity. It supports projects such as the Bardzour project at the Réunion prison, which integrates renewable energy and a prisoner reintegration program focused on agricultural professions, Cyril Dion’s documentary “Tomorrow”, or the Sénécoura gardens in Mali, which have trained and supported more than 120 women in the Kita region on 17 hectares for the production of soybeans, market gardening, poultry, and agroforestry.
